SISI (Short Increment Sensitivity Index)

That is a test. It tests the ability of the individual to sense very minute changes in the intensity of sound. It enables the audiologists to differentiate between the sensory (related to inner ear) and neural (nerve-related) types of hearing loss, and this makes it a good diagnostic tool in cochlear disorders. Regular counseling should ensure that patients will know the meaning of the test results and the next steps of treatment or hearing rehabilitation.

TDT (Tone Decay Test)

This is known as the Tone Decay Test which basically measures the time a person can hear a continuous tone. This test proves beneficial in the diagnosis of auditory nerve fatigue and retro middle ear pathologies like acoustic neuroma. ABLB (Alternate Binaural Loudness Balance)

So how that works is this: we compare how the sounds of the exact same pitch are perceived in both ears by the ABLB. This is, of course, intended for loudness recruitment, which is characteristic of sensorineural hearing loss. In loudness recruitment, sounds go from soft to uncomfortably loud very quickly.
